The Inter-Agency Coordination Group is an informal forum that brings together international organizations and institutions working on the prevention, preparedness and response to industrial and chemical accidents.

The Inter-Agency Group Coordination Group aims to improve the use of resources, avoid potential duplication of work across the agencies and to facilitate the coordination of the programmes of each agency. It advocates about the importance of prevention, preparedness and response to chemical accidents.

The main goal of the coordination group is to create an international platform that permit the exchange of information and expertise to foster international inter-agency cooperation.
