The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) is a regional intergovernmental agency for disaster management in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). It provides coordinated response to natural and human-induced hazards within the Caribbean Region.
The CDEMA works through an integrated disaster management approach with the goal of reducing the risks and losses of natural and technological hazards. The CDEMA also aims to target the effects of climate change and enhance regional sustainable development.
The main support is provided through disaster response capacity-building, mobilizing and coordinating disaster relief missions as well as providing comprehensive emergency information.
