The MINERVA Portal was created by the European Commission Joint Research Centre of the Institute for the Protection and Security of the Citizen. The MINERVA Portal is a website providing a Collection of Technical Information and Tools Supporting EU Policy on Control of Major Chemical Hazards.

The portal was created to ensure wider availability of the knowledge base developed to support chemical accident prevention and preparedness in the European Union and worldwide. Additionally it intends to provide access to all information on current activities, relevant publications and tools on control of major chemical hazards which MAHB produces on its own or in collaboration with others, or has received in its role as a centre of information exchange.
